Studland to Swanage
On Sunday, 22nd July, a group of over 20 walkers met at the Studland end of the ferry from Poole to walk the first 8 miles of the S.W.Coastal Path. The walk was led by Ruth.
The path took us to a viewpoint overlooking Old Harry Rocks and then across Ballard Down before descending on to the beach at Swanage. Although windy, the day was very sunny and extremely warm.
This was a linear walk so everyone returned to the ferry at Studland on an open topped double decker bus.    (Photos submitted by DK

Tyneham & Clavell Tower
The 8 mile walk on 9th August was led by Ruth. It started at Tyneham in Dorset and was attended by well over 20 RFFS members. The day turned out to be the hottest of the year and some of the steeper hills were quite taxing in the heat.
Clavell tower was visited during the walk. It is still being reconstructed having been moved back from the crumbling cliff edge.
